March 3 Election Results
In an election where voter turnout was over double that of the 2007 elections, two City Council members were elected and Measure R passed by an
overwhelming majority. All votes were presented openly to the public and verified by City Clerk at Bedwell Hall
Like many cities throughout the nation, the City of Cudahy held elections for two City Council seats and Measure R – an ordinance to reduce the
tax rate from 4% to 3.75% on the residential Telecommunications Utility Users Tax and to modernize this specific tax code to reflect changes in
federal law – on March 3, 2009.
The results of the election presented openly to the public and verified by City Clerk Larry Galvan at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday night
at Bedwell Hall in Cudahy Park.
